Nordic Member Newsletter – June

Hello everyone,

Summer is finally here, and we hope you're looking forward to some well-deserved time off!

As we move into the summer season, Nordic will be operating on a summer schedule, with some adjustments to our class timetable and opening hours.

This year, we're combining our Peak and Performance programs. Mads and Jakob have already started planning, and we're excited about what's ahead!

Summer Kick-Off Afterwork

Before the summer schedule begins, we'll be hosting one final Afterwork Workout on June 26 at 5:00 PM.

Join us for a great workout followed by pizza and beer as we celebrate the start of summer together.

Save the date! More information will be shared on Facebook.

Summer Opening Hours (June 29 – August 9)

During this period, our opening hours will be:

Gym Etiquette & Reminders
Help Us Keep Nordic Clean and Comfortable

Summer means warmer temperatures and more sweat. Please remember to wipe down equipment after use and help maintain a clean training environment.

We also encourage everyone to train in clean workout clothes. If your gear starts smelling immediately when you warm up, it may be time for a replacement!

Laundry Tips

  • Avoid using fabric softener on training clothes.
  • White vinegar can be very effective at removing odors.
  • Rinse workout clothes after training and wash them as soon as possible to prevent smells from setting in.

Chalk

Please use chalk responsibly and keep it in the designated chalk containers. We frequently find excess chalk on floors, shelves, plates, and platforms.

Headphones

For safety reasons, we discourage the use of headphones during training sessions, as they can reduce awareness of your surroundings.

Headphones are permitted when using cardio equipment.

Personal Training Area

The PT area is reserved for personal trainers and their clients.

If no PT session is taking place, members are welcome to use the space.

Wall Storage Bags

If you have a storage bag hanging on the wall, we recommend taking some time to clean it out and remove any unused items.

We'd Love Your Feedback

We're always looking for ways to improve.

Please use our digital feedback form to share suggestions, ideas, or comments with us at any time.

Member Benefits

Don't forget to take advantage of your Nordic member benefits.

New this month: 10% discount at Izakaya.

Members of the Month

This month's Members of the Month are a couple who have been part of the Nordic community since the day we opened on Hälsingegatan.

They started with our introductory classes, progressed to Workout of the Day, then Fitness, and eventually Competition—now known as Peak.

They consistently provide thoughtful feedback, support fellow members, and represent the Nordic spirit in the best possible way. And, of course, they are accompanied by one of Nordic's friendliest (and most food-motivated) dogs, Peppe.

Congratulations and thank you to Paula, Henrik, and Peppe for being such an important part of the Nordic community!

We wish everyone a fantastic summer and look forward to seeing you in the gym.

Best regards,

Rickard, Jenny & Stefan
